Yellow, purple, red
appear in surprised defiance
gracing the crestfallen earth.
Mountains once traversed in pay-blood
tower like vengeant gods.

Laboring eyes
follow power-lines—
dream of a world beyond.

Even if I could speak your language
you would not believe—
that your world lures me
as mine lures you.

Only mountains bar
too easy
seduction.
