It seems like finding time to write is not always that easy. Sometimes I feel like I have a lot to say, other times, a little. These past few weeks have flown by and I’ve written several posts in my mind, but just not had time to get them down and share.
And of course, now that I’m swamped with regular life, work, and responsibilities, I find myself wondering when to find time to do what I like to do, which is write. Then I wonder, write what? And does it matter?
Yesterday I received a comment on my site from someone who wants to use one of my short stories to help people who are struggling with problems. She wanted to share my short story with others to encourage them and engender discussion about their own issues. Of course I gave her permission. I was so excited about that, I thought I’d share with some others I know who are also working on their writing projects. They rejoiced with me, and surprise, read the story and wrote to say that they too found it encouraging!
And that really surprised me because that particular story came out of a very difficult time in my life, long before I met Rich. And to see that it was encouraging to others helped me to feel optimistic about working on some of my other stories. It also caused me to review some of the pages on this site, and I realized that in some upgrade or another, all the quotation marks and apostrophes were corrupted. So now I need to re-edit my postings/stories, etc. to fix them… but now I have a reason… I never know who might be reading and looking for encouragement.
So thank you to all my friends, colleagues, and whoever else is reading my blog and the pages here.
Oh, and if you’d like to read the story, it is called the Prince and Ambre.
