I know the verse from II Cor 5:17 is referring to something different, but right now, the thought comes to me, “all things new.”
And that is what God is doing in my life, making all things new. I am sitting in the airport waiting for my plane to Newark, NJ which will connect me with a plane to Israel. After 5 amazing weeks back in Michigan with friends and family, it is time to return to my new yet old home in Haifa. Next week at this time I’ll be starting my new job. And all things are new for me.
New goodbyes, new hellos, and encouraged by the hope of in a God of grace and mercy:
“Through the LORD’S mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
(Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV)
It has been a blessed time here in Michigan. I had some very special times with so many friends, family, as well as time to seek the Lord, treasure precious memories, and prepare to return to Israel.
What is ahead? I don’t need to know. I know the one who holds all of time and creation in His hands, and HE knows. So as I wait for this plane, my heart is filled with joy and thankfulness as I prepare to set out on this new adventure in my life.
