It is a dream come true, and I honestly don’t know what I was waiting for. It took the encouragement of others, and seeing that it doesn’t have to be perfect to give me the courage. I finally published a short collection of my poetry on Amazon.com. This collection of poetry comes from my first year in Israel and is accompanied by a short story about Syndey, a new immigrant. It is a short read, giving a picture of what life was/is like here in Israel, particularly in the eyes of a newcomer who has come “home.”

I hope you enjoy it, and that the poems are encouraging as well as thought-provoking. Thank you all for encouraging me over the years. This book is just a first. I am working on something much longer and more serious and would deeply appreciate your prayers. To get it done I will need to prioritize what I do and not let myself get sidetracked. That is why I went ahead and published these poems now, so that I wouldn’t keep wondering when I was going to do something with my other writings. There is more to go, but I’ve finally gotten it out of my system.
The truth is, with all that is going on in the world, I don’t want to be caught with my talent buried in the ground. When it comes to my writing, in many ways, except for this blog, that is what I have done. The ability to freely publish may not be here forever—especially if I want to be honest about what I believe. It is time to “occupy” until HE comes (to paraphrase Luke 19:13). So I am working on a much longer and more serious book about God’s amazing workings in my life—despite me. It is going to take a lot of hard work, physically, mentally, and emotionally. But my goal is to openly share the reason I have hope in Jesus, despite all that has happened in my life, and to give encouragement to others who have struggled with the various challenges in life.
Thankyou Lord Jesus, for the wonderful tools you have given us in today’s modern age. Help us to use them for your glory, and to share the wonderful GOOD NEWS of your love for us. And thank you for all the wonderful friends and family you have given me, and the people who follow my blog and pray for me. Grace and blessing beyond measure. Thankyou!
Amen and Amen
